I wonder if this an issue in Holmdel - certainly, the statistics cited in the article are worrisome.

Purpose of this blog

I have been going back and forth about maintaining a blog for several years now; finally, I think I am ready to sustain one...what I hope to do is to post information I come across about news and trends in education, and then comment on what impact, if any, that information might have on us here at Holmdel.  I am sure I will also, from time to time, highlight some interesting aspect of our school.  No doubt, I will also ask for feedback from the stakeholders of the community as we consider new initiatives, etc.

I am in my 25th year at Holmdel, and certainly have my personal viewpoint on how things are going here...but I want to hear from you as well....so, let's have at it...as the late NYC Mayor Ed Koch would say, "How are (we) doing'?"
